Anything else?
My 11 year old son was treated in the A&E department on Mon 13th July. We arrived at 9pm to an extremely busy A&E department. Once seen by the nurse and then two doctors it was decided that he required immediate surgery for a possible torsion of the testicle. The procedure was clearly explained to both myself and my son and the anaesthetist also spoke with us. The care taken to make sure that my son understood the operation was really appreciated by him and also myself as an anxious mum! The nurse who had initially assessed my son accompanied us to the operating theatre, he was very kind as reassuring. The operating staff all introduced themselves showed my son all of the machinery and explained what each did. Again all this was very reassuring at a stressful time. The service provided by all staff who helped us that evening and the following day was excellent. Thank you.
