"This hospital has saved my life"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Anything else?

I was referred to the Breast Surgeons in 2004 for a small pea size lump I found in my breast. Within a week I was seen by a Professor who I consider that I was very very lucky to have seen him. He found after subsequent tests that I had Breast Cancer, it hit me like a ton of bricks but he was superb. A nurse was in the room with him who dealt with Breast Cancer specially and she was there to talk to if I needed it. I was told that I needed a lumpectomy and was called into hospital within 4 weeks after my diagnosis for the operation. I subsequently had the operation and radiotherapy followed for a few months. I have placed my life in this hospitals hands and willingly would do so again and in actual fact would go no where else. I cannot recommend my treatment highly enough, everyone from the nurses to the doctors and surgeons have been and are briliant. I have been seen again today and I got the same treatment for a follow up. Lovely nurses and doctors who took the time to listen to me, I then went for a routine mammogram and I could not wish for better treatment.
