"Dickens ward fabulous experience"

About: Ashford Hospital

Anything else?

I cannot commend the staff highly enough. Fantastic care, great staff helpful and cheerful even when the going got tough. I really cannot believe that this ward belongs to the same trust as the wards I have been on at St Peters! My knee is now better than I could have hoped in those dark days after I had my operation and couldn't have believed then I would be able to get my life back to what it is today. To the staff of Dickens ward, Sisters, Staff nurses, carers, physios, cleaners, dinner staff and of course my surgeon and their team a huge thank you again. If only the run up to this operation could have been so organised. Crowded airless could careless attitude of the entire staff in the outpatients department. Appointment over and hour late, then the Muddled day I had to attend to make sure I was fit for my operation which did not help me and put my wife on edge and a huge parking bill. Get this right before my other knee and it would be a great help.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experiences of Dickens Ward at Ashford Hospital. We are very pleased to hear you received such fantastic care and attention from our staff and will share your comments with them. We are naturally concerned to hear that you didn't have such a positive experience in our outpatients department and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further. Hopefully you will find the department much improved if you do return in the near future, as we have just completed a huge £2.8 million refurbishment project and it has really transformed the waiting areas and consulting rooms. However, we would still welcome your feedback and invite you to contact Matron Diane Lashbrook on 01932 723428. Many thanks again for your comments.
