10 months ago my daughter was diagnosed with gall stones and was told that her gall bladder would need to be removed so she would be put on the waiting list. The months passed with no response untill about 2 1/2 months ago when she had a massive flare up and was taken into A&E.
They gave her morphine and other medicines and then sent her home. Since then she has been in another 8 times and received absolutley no proper information by the clinical doctors.
The nursing staff are always brilliant and generally, with a couple of exceptions, very caring and understanding. Sadly we have only meet 1 doctor in all that time who came close to giving her some real information. It appears that she was only put on the waiting list 2 weeks ago because of incompetance by a string of doctors all thinking someone else was doing things instead of actually checking her records properly.
I am absolutly disgusted with the clinical team and the apathetic attitude of the complaints team who do not appear to be doing very much at all to put things right.
If you have a choice do not go there.
