"My mother was recently in your ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My mother was recently in your hospital for a liver related disorder an six weeks after she was admitted she died due to an MRSA infection in her legs, groin, anus, & stomach, so in general I think that the nursing & ward staff were very good at coping with the pressures, that they are under.

What could be improved

However back to the fact that my mother was taken from me whilst under your care & all of the bureaucracy surrounding her death is a very bitter pill to swallow.

The severity of my mums condition seem to be an everyday event to some of the consultancy staff, so I am under no illusion that your trust does not have this infection under any sort of control.

I also find it outrageous that you say that you are not obliged to mention that MRSA is present when new patients & relatives come into your hospital, & even when detected you still keep that patient on an open ward instead of isolating them.

My mother was only 63 years old when she died, and for that reason I will pursue for an explanation into the TRUE number of your patients that have died of an MRSA infection & not what you & your medical teams class as SEPSIS or Infections.

I an currently in conversations with a tabloid news paper to see if they can get any further information on all of the above.
