Anything else?
Arrived today for a laparoscopy, 13/8/13. Nursing staff on the ward were lovely. Due to someone's incompetency my surgeon was on annual leave and someone failed to inform the staff who book theatres so 4 patients have had their operations cancelled. I have now lost 2 weeks wages as being self employed I had to send work elsewhere so I could recover, which cannot be changed now. Then when you rebook my procedure I will be down another 2 weeks wages. I have contacted NMGH to officially complain as I chose that hospital for my procedure but was sent to this one, why? Why give patients a choice if your going to send them wherever you choose, totally unacceptable. Very disappointed in this hospital and will not return.
