My sister arrived at A&E, she had fallen and broken her arm. The person attending her read from a book how to put a plaster on!! Yes this is true No pain relieve was offered! When my sister asked for pain relief she was given 2 paracetamols! The peron 'trying' to put the plaster on then had to take that one off, attempted yet another plaster, still couldn't get it right. Eventually asked a colleague who also had no idea what she was doing. They had my sister hanging her arm over the back of a chair!! She was in agony!! The third attempt was a joke! there was a gaping hole in the bottom of the plaster. Eventually later that day she was advised by her GP to go to Bath RUH who once they'd stopped laughing at the 'joke' of the plaster that had been applied (which they have now kept because it was so disgusting!) were brilliant !! Big thank you to RUH !
