"Everything went wrong..."

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Child and adolescent mental health

(as the patient),

Basically from a young age I was bullied, and in my fair share of fights. I went my whole life blaming myself to which, I was left with no friends, and nobody to turn too, My parents never knew how I really felt, all they knew was I was upset a lot.

I went to my doctors after 2 years of depression, and explained all how I wanted to kill myself and overdose, etc. I felt so isolated from everybody else. He referred me to CAMHS in Gainsborough. And I went in I felt so nervous, but everyone seemed so friendly.

The only problem is, I had one appointment and never really heard from them again to check how I was doing. ( I feel so down lately, CAMHS was the only people I turned to.

I am sorry that you have had a poor experience of the CAMHS service in Gainsborough. If you would like to contact the service directly on 01522 535189 we could look into why you were not contacted again.

Alternatively you can seek help from your GP who will refer you to the appropriate service for your needs.

Sarah Moody, CAMHS Team Coordinator North.
