Anything else?
My sister was recently taken by ambulance, called by 111 services, to Darlington because of a sudden onset headache which we now know is a classic sign of a brain haemorrhage. However on arrival she was berated by the triage nurse for using emergency services for a headache and almost sent home by her with paracetamol, until a senior doctor stepped in and insisted on admission and tests. Perhaps I'm being a little unfair but I would expect a and e staff to recognise an emergency when they see one? The actions of that nurse could have had catastrophic consequences.
"Serious concerns about knowledge of a and e staff"
