"2 months of waiting for a non existent appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Poor, poor, poor.

After 12 months of abdominal pain I am finally referred to my local hospital's gastroenterology department, only to be cancelled and not rescheduled. This was due to my details not being filed on the computer properly.

I had to chase this error myself after 2 months of waiting for a non existent appointment.

Are we supposed to have faith in the NHS when its staff can't even operate its own filing system?

Shocking and disgraceful to cause people to lose income and precious months of good health due to staff incompetence.

Thank you for responding to our request for feedback.

I am disappointed to hear of your experience. TRAQS are responsible for dealing with your referral from the time it is created by the GP practice to the time it is passed to the hospital of your Choice.

As all comments are anonymous I am unable to look further into your comments to see where the delay happened. However, I am sure you can appreciate that the issues you have raised may relate to the hospital and if so would be outside TRAQS control.

I hope that you will soon receive an appointment which will ensure you can begin treatment to help you return to better health.

Thank you again for taking the time to give us your feedback. TRAQS appreciate all comments as they help us to develop our service further for the benefit of the patients registered with Telford and Wrekin GP Practices.
