"Opthomology Department - extremely frustrating"

Anything else?

I had a very good experience when I visited Eye Emergency initially. However, was not until I needed to collect prescription when things went from bad to worse. No Chemist supplys what I need, have to order it Prescription needed for 2 weeks - hospital only wrote out for one weeks supply so chemist told me to get another prescription Extra trip to Queen Marys Hospital (not easy in itself) waited whilst new prescription was written out for extra week Back to chemist - only to be told it was not the same prescription as before Phoned hospital - sorry nothing they can do! Would have to find my notes (how hard can this be when I only visited in the last week?) Wont see me in Eye Department as need appointment. Suggested I go to Urgent Care - but can't guarantee they will be able to help as they won't have my notes Then told to to beg my Chemist to give me prescription for what I needed!!! Then rather bizarrely, told to go to Moorfields Eye Hospital as a new patient, they can examine me, treat me and give me prescription for antibiotics. However, there is no guarantee they will prescribe me what I was prescribed before. Absolute disgrace - how can a hospital put my eye sight at risk because they can't be bothered (in my opinion) to look up my notes to write a prescription. Shocking shocking shocking. Will be complaining to PALS
