"I had the unfortunate experience ..."

About: Kettering General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had the unfortunate experience of becoming an accident statistic when a set of steps collapsed under me at home and as a result I broke four bones in my right foot. I was treated at A & E on the 31st December 2007 and subsequently had to have an operation to wire some bones together.

This is the first time that I have had any treatment in your hospital in the twenty years that I have lived in your catchment area.. I must say that my treatment has been exemplary. The staff on the ward were pleasant and efficient and the theatre staff that I saw all had a pleasant sense of humour that made my treatment more bearable. The care has been impressive and whilst I am sure you will appreciate that I would not willingly volunteer to have further treatment I would have no fears about coming to your hospital should the need arise.

It is easy to knock the NHS and your own hospital has had some adverse publicity in the past if the press are to be believed. I can only speak for my own treatment but I am unable to fault any individual or department. I would be obliged if you would pass on my personal thanks to those members of staff that have been involved in my treatment.
