"Parking."

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your treatment at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC). We are sorry that we have not covered our future plans for parking in previous comments and we apologise that you have had difficulty in parking at the centre as a result of the current building works. Patients receiving radiotherapy treatment can get a concessionary ticket allowing them to park for a week for £3.40. Please ask at BHOC main reception for more details. This is valid in any hospital car park, unfortunately due to the building work our two nearest car parks are both a short walk away. We are very lucky to have a voluntary driver at BHOC, and if you are feeling tired after treatment and want a lift up the hill please do ask at our main reception desk, and if the driver is available they would be happy to drive you to your car. We know that parking when patients come to our hospitals is a real challenge, particularly due to our city centre location. In planning and designing the new extension the architects were keenly aware of this, and they have designed the new extension so it sits on stilts. Once the building work is complete at the end of this year this will mean that we have parking back on site outside the front of the BHOC.
