My life has been hectic over the past few years. I have six children which includes a set of twins. I have found it very tiring and rewarding at times. Five years ago I found out that my husband had been having an affair.
I took this very badly - he was my world. I spent a long time recovering, which included being hospitalised and having counselling.
In addition to this, I also faced more traumatic personal experiences as well as another difficult relationship.
I now self harm and drink, which is really bad, but at times I feel useless, unloved and dirty. The mental health team are helping me, but the only person who can change my thoughts and life is myself.
The crisis team were good to me. They never judged me - always listened and advised. They told me all the options available and were always clear and included me in everything.
They saw me every day for 7-10 days which helped.
I want people to believe that you can recover from very difficult personal circumstances.
"Crisis team never judged me - always listened and advised"
