Anything else?
Overall, the staff on the ward were fantastically caring and considerate. However, one senior member of staff assumed I couldn't read my own prescription entitlement. I was in considerable pain, less than 24 hours after my operation, and was offered paracetamol and told that was all I could have. My husband actually took my notes to the sister and showed them the doctor's prescription, whereupon I was given morphine. No apology, no explanation. I have to say that my husband and daughter are both qualified nurses. From this, they assumed that no explanation of discharge medicines was. I didn't really want to mention this, as the rest of the staff were brilliant.
