"Mistakes"

I too had a terrible time in the ward .similar to " too many mistakes made " I was put on nil by mouth at midnight but had to wait until 4pm the next day to be told that my endoscope test had been cancelled ( no explanation ), that`s 16 hours without water and that week was the hottest so far this year and I was already seriously dehydrated . I too had my drip attached to the overhead light that fell off during the night , I had to ask repeatedly for urine bottles , and for my cannula to be re-attached , The nil by mouth notice wasn`t put on my bed twice so I started to eat breakfast when the Doctor came he said my endoscope test had to be cancelled again .On my notes it said I was blind in my right eye ( it is my left eye ) and it said I had asbestosis ( I have pleural plaques a much less serious asbestos disease ) and I said I was allergic to codeine but a red wrist band wasn`t put on my wrist . I finally got my endoscope test ( that proved negative ) but still had to wait 13 hours without water . I was discharged after 5 days nearly a stone lighter and looking ten years older . I have to back for more tests that I am dreading . I am a male aged 67
