"Loving care and compassion"

About: Western General Hospital (Edinburgh)

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to hospital and passed away last night on Ward 25. The whole family were overwhelmed by the level of kindness and care shown to mum during her stay. Nothing was too much for the nurses and doctors, and her last day was made so amazingly peaceful, which we will always be grateful for.

In particular, Elaine, Marianne, Lee, Dr Gordon and 'Pat cash? '!

Thank you so very much, know that your loving care and compassion will help us to get through the difficult days ahead.

Elaine, thank you for today, xx

Let me first of all express my condolences for your loss at this sad time.

I have passed on your comments to the teams concerned and thank you for taking time out to make some positive comments about the care your mother received at the Western General Hospital.

We always endeavour to put the patient at the heart of everything we do and I am glad to see that has been the case here.
