Anything else?
On Thursday 1st August I amputated the top of my finger. I attended my local hospital Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, who looked after me well, but as they do not do plastic surgery were only able to clean and dress my wound. They then tried to get me referred to a specialist hospital. This proved very challenging as 7 hospitals refused me either because they were shut or about to shut. Thankfully St Georges agreed to see me. After a rather long wait in A&E (well over 5 hours) I was seen by an excellent Dr who admitted me to Holdsworth ward and said I would have an operation the next morning. The ward and consultant that looked after me and operated were fabulous. I would like to say a very big thank you, firstly for accepting the referral but also for treating me in a professional and caring manner. You guys are the best.
