Anything else?
I was transferred to London chest on 1st Jan 2013 from Queens hosp in Romford. I was seen and assessed straight away, even went for an xray at 10.30pm the same day. Following umpteen more tests, discussions with the surgeon and several of his team, I had an Aortic Valve replacement on 4th January, then spent a whole week on HDU and the staff were fabulous, so considerate and helpful. The consulting team who came round daily listened to my concerns at the same time encouraged me to go walkies up and down the coridoor if I wanted to avoid going back on the CPAP machine as one of my lungs had collapsed. My whole time spent in London Chest was 14 days and I have to admit I couldnt fault any of it. I trusted what they were doing and they listened to me. Just want to say a big thank you to all involved as you saved my life.
