"Birth place"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Anything else?

On the 23rd of June I was admitted to the birth place, after previously being sent home from the delivery suite as I was not yet dilating. Once we arrived at the birth place we were made to feel at ease and were looked after brilliantly by the midwifes on duty. They tended to our every need and ensured that all procedures were fully explained and that myself and husband were happy with what they were doing . After the safe arrival of our baby they ensured we had time as a family, however being on hand to support with breastfeeding and checking on the progress of the baby. It was lovely to spend our first night as a family together on the ward, which feels more like a hotel then a delivery ward. We were supported by a student midwife and midwife both were amazing and made the whole experience one we will treasure. Thank you for all your support
