Anything else?
i had a long stay (week) medical care is fairly good but once on ward i believe the under staffing means that none of the ward staff have any time for patients sometimes barely a word of two was spoken to me other than to check my name and number before handing over drugs / obs felt more like a prisoner than a patient if there was time for a kind word or two i am sure it would make all the difference to me and other patients - we are there because we are ill, vulnerable, lonely and scared and although medically they do the right things it would help to have some understanding of patients emotional needs also i barely saw any cleaning whilst there which was quite appalling, again i assume due to lack of staff - blood on floors, blood on walls in toilets and dirty bandages left lying about for ages ! Also on a hot day ( rare i know to have heatwaves in this country patients including myself were left without water at times !) if anyone from the hospital reads this please consider that we want cleanliness and an odd kind word or two and that would help us all so, so much
"lack of staff seems to impact care"
