Our main concern was cleanliness of areas, we raised this with staff, staff on Ward 2B were very good, it was on my day before discharge, I was told not asked, that I was being moved to Ward 4 within minutes I was on my way. I was not happy with this. When I arrived on Ward 4 I felt like I was just a number, no interaction with staff, other than when it was drug time. On my discharge day was an utter nightmare, after going through my trauma with my major operation, I was put through even more, I was told that I would be discharged around 2.30 pm, from that time no staff kept me informed, I had to keep going to them, and the Sister in charge was very abrupt, I didn't get final dishcharge until 5.30 pm, she was not helpful at all, I was not given the correct meds, I was in chronic pain and just wanted to get home. She said that if i was to change them she didn't know how long it would take, so I just took what was there and left, she was not sympathetic to my situation, I felt like she should not have been in the care profession. I just took my meds and left, with no hope things go well for you, or nothing not even a goodbye from her. Ward 2B staff were very caring and looked after me well. It was when I was transferred to Ward 4 that I was very distressed about the situation.
