I would just like to share my experience about the delivery care my daughter-in-law received at the weekend, which I was privileged to be part of. She received absolutely lovely, calm and caring attention from from the student midwife and midwife. They were very attentive throughout her labour and importantly kind and encourgaging. She was lucky to have a lovely relatively quick 1st delivery; however did suffer a nasty tear, which understandably the midwife felt would be better sutured by a doctor - unfortunately as he was in theater she did have to wait 2 hours on an uncomfortable bed, but this was explained to her. Please send our thanks to these midwives; they are a credit to RHH Maternity Unit.

Thank you Yvonne for taking the time to give us feedback at what I imagine must be a very busy time for a grandmother. It is wonderful to hear that your daughter-in-law was well looked after at what is always a nerve-racking time for any first-time-mum. We know that sometimes patients do have to wait, however this is to ensure that the best possible person for the job - in this situation a skilled surgeon - delivers the treatment. Thank you again for your lovely comments, we will pass them on to the team in our Maternity Department who I’m sure will be thrilled to receive them.
