On Tuesday 30th July I came to Minor Injuries with a very painful foot, last year I suffered a stress fracture on the same foot and the pain was the same. The receptionist would not book me in to see a triage nurse, I told her of the injury history and that I needed the foot to be x-rayed to see if it was broken. She refused to let me see a nurse and said I must make a G.P. appointment to get a card to bring back to X-ray. She was adamant that I would not be seen. I had to get a GP appointment, and she sent me straight back with the card, that was Friday last week. I got a call from my GP yesterday evening to say I had to go the NGH Fracture clinic as my foot was fractured. I have been in pain all of this time. The same receptionist also sent away the two people before me as well without being seen. She dismissed me saying ' You probably have arthritis from the previous break and should see a GP' Why are people like her able to decide who should be seen, with all the adverse NHS publicity lately she should take more care
"Obstructive receptionist"
