"Maternity scans"

About: East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I am 40 years old, 12 weeks pregnant and have had a previous early miscarriage. Due to the mess that has been made of the appointments system, I am still waiting to hear if I will ever get my first maternity scan. I know this situation is affecting so many people waiting for so many types of scans/x-rays and results. The situation is completely unacceptable.

Despite calling the hotline...I have had no response.....the care and support I had during my miscarriage a subsequent successful pregnancy was good....but I am very unhappy about the current situation and the handling of it and can't begin to imagine the damage this is causing to so many people.

Thank you for letting us know and I am very sorry about the delay you have experienced and the anxiety that this has caused you. The service does fall short of the standards we would expect to be able to provide. Please do email me your details and I will follow this through for you. My email address is Julie.pearce1@nhs.net
