The staff in A&E responded quickly to my needs and ensured I was made as comfortable as possible during assessment. Once transferred to the MEAU department I was treated well by all the staff and made welcome. The Doctor explained fully the findings and what further action would be taken. He made sure that i was not under any stress as this was the first time I had ever had to spend time in Hospital.

What could be improved

I was transfered to the day services unit for overnight observation. The nurse on duty was not very professional in her approach as she explained in a very loud voice why I was there, therefore allowing everyone else on the ward to here of my problem. The following morning after very little sleep due to constant deliveries taking place from 4am onwards, we were rudely awoken at 6.30am with the light being switched on & a nurse explaining we could not sleep in as it was a week day and lots of visitors expected. Perhaps some warning the night before would have been helpfull.
