"Thank you ..."

About: Salford Royal

Anything else?

I just wanted to drop a quick thank you to the doctor, who saw my mum yesterday. She was being seen at another hospital for almost a year, and my impression is that it's been quite a frustrating time where she has had to push for appointments and test results, and given relatively little information about her future care. Given that they had mentioned they were assessing her for motor neurone disease this was a very worrying time for her and our whole family. Yesterday she saw the doctor for almost two hours and had more tests on the spot, with the results being communicated back to her again on the day - which I found amazing and far better than returning for tests, then again for the results. She also got the level of information about her future care I feel you need if you've been told you might have a potentially serious illness. While she is still having more tests we now know what she needs, when, and what they will look for. So thank you for this level of organisation and the care you gave.

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to read that you have experienced a high level of care from our Neurology Service and I wish your mother well for any future treatment she may require
