"Ward F19 was spotless! - Queens Medical Hospital"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Queens Medical Centre in September 2006 and was in for 5 days, for a total knee replacement. After the operation I was placed on ward F19 - a trauma and orthopaedics ward.

I simply can't fault the service at all, the set-up at Queens Medical Centre is extremely good. In particular the cleanliness. There were always cleaners coming round, and even the tea lady gave the ward a clean. There was always disinfectant spray for the nurses hands. When I asked a nurse about MRSA at the hospital, she replied that I had nothing to worry about. After what I had seen of the cleanliness procedures in place, I had to agree.

All the staff really kept me at ease especially during my operation. Mr Forster was excellent, it took him only 50mins to replace my knee. This was great because I was told it would be a 2 hour operation.
