I consider the treatment I received at Guy's exemplary. I found the medical staff including students friendly, informed, kind and considerate throughout my 3-day stay. At all times I was treated with dignity and the care and consideration I received contributed to a rapid recovery. I would be critical in only two areas. Firstly the standard of the food I felt was poor. It must be extremely difficult to cater for such a diverse group of patients in terms of age and cultural backgrounds but I think the standard should be higher and the menus more detailed allowing patients like me to identify and so avoid any food allergies. My other criticism is he use of mobile phones by other patients on the ward, especially at night. Either mobiles should be banned on the wards or their use limited. These two points aside, I have nothing but praise and gratitude for Guy's and the staff.
