After spending my first night ever in hospital recovering from surgery, I cannot commend the hospital staff at the RUH highly enough for the way in which their Urology Department, The Recovery Team and staff on Robin Smith Ward handled and treated my medical condition during the time I was a recent inpatient. The Consultant in particular deserves special mention and I feel most privileged to have been under his dedicated, skilful and professional care during my 24 hour stay. He must surely be one of the top surgeons at RUH and I have spoken to other patients who speak very highly of him indeed. They went that extra distance at very short notice and provided corrective surgery that I had been requiring for a very long time in addition to the procedure I was booked in for on the day of surgery. His assistants were also extremely dedicated and caring. The Theatre Practitioner in The Recovery Team, Staff Nurse on Robin Smith Ward and the Anaesthetist seemed remarkably professional and it is clear that they are equally dedicated to providing the very best in patient care. Indeed, all the staff I came into contact with seemed exceptionally well trained, very hard-working and are a credit to this very friendly hospital. I am most grateful indeed for all that the Hospital and Ward staff have done and hope that anyone reading this review will be fortunate enough to receive a similar standard of treatment
