Having visited the Prosthetic Limb Service on a number of occasions, I find the whole location of the department to be wholly unacceptable. based in the bowels of the hospital (Basement). Very little signage, A warren type feel to it, with cramped facilities packed into small rooms, tiny waiting areas and corridors far too narrow for two wheelchairs to pass with ease.
This department has recently been identified as a Veteran Specialist Prosthetic centre of excellence.
I think this is a monumental error on the part of the National Commissioning Board.
