Anything else?
I was taken, by ambulance, to the A&E department, where all the medical staff, I came in contact with, treated me with the greatest care, respect and professionalism. I was in great pain ( the ambulance crew had given me gas and air to ease it), and the nurses who conducted the handover, with the crew, were most kind, thoughtful and understood my distress. I did not feel I was a bother to anyone, and truly felt all had my comfort, as well as my diagnosis and treatment, at the forefront of their minds. Staff treated me with the greatest care and consideration, and the Dr told me, as soon as he saw me, what would be happening regarding scans and x-rays, and then returned with the results which he explained clearly. Going to hospital can be terribly stressful, added to the pain and discomfort I was suffering, and it could have been an awful experience. However, thanks to the tremendous staff it was made as pleasant as it possibly could be.
