terrible experience at queens hospital had no idea what happened to me was tossed from one war to another, all consultants asking same questions again and again my health deteareated, kept trying different antibiotics and the drip which made my health worse and also gave so much fluid that my lungs had fluid and I could not breath, plus I has asthma as well no care taken in regards to my asthma. I was told I had Pneumonia was moved to another ward only because they thought I was not very serious and needed more beds and moved me from gyno ward to respiratory ward because of lack of beds. At the gyno ward the nurses were rude and unhelpful they also forgot to give me my medication or the gave to much medication. Respiratory ward was now trying to sort out my overfilled lungs with fluid and my oxygen level, plus other problems with all this going on. In the resparatory ward all we heard was this is the plan and that is the plan test were done very late to find out what had been going on and then one minute I was told I had a 10cm pelvic abscess then I was told I had pockets of abscess confusing us stressing us telling us to go for an operation when there was no need because a bed was required. only 1 consultant came and helped to give my life other wise I may have died, and the reason for this treatment was due to the management managing patience to do with time and cost rather then putting a person health first which NHS 1st aim rather then time and money. we were told due to the cost of the medication the hospital did not want to treat via medication or via other treatments ct drainage we heard 1 excuse after another about why other treatments could not be done only treatment was operation. 1 consultant on advised us about operation and no other option and reason was that she preferred surgery not giving patient the choice and advise more an ultimatum. 1 consultant said that if we did want to go for the operation we could discharge our selves and go else were. what Is that what sort of care is that.

Simple measures such as giving clear information to patients about treatment options, following through on the plan and explaining what is happening, such as the reasons behind moving a patient from one ward to another are really important.
