Anything else?
I was admitted in December 2010 for treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia. After three rounds of chemotherapy I had a stem cell transplant in July 2011. I still attend the Haematology department at the Catherine Lewis centre as an outpatient. The medical treatment I received was first class. The technical expertise was superb and the nursing care was excellent. When I encountered difficulties my concerns were followed up and staff were always willing to speak to my husband. It was a very difficult time and I am aware how fortunate I am to be here today. Thanks to everyone who helped from the cleaners to the consultants. You all played a part.
