What I liked

I have just had an arthroscopy in Cannock Chase Hospital on the Lea Valley Day Ward. I have to say how fantastic the doctor was and the care shown by the anaethetist was just superb. All of the nursing care was excellent, they were obviously very busy but still provided the highest standards of care.

What could be improved

The only thing that can be improved is that given it is a day ward the services are very lacking in terms of comfort. There are only basic chairs to sit on, no footrests are available and there is not any music or tv to while away the,possibly, anxious wait. They need to provide more comfortable seating to cater for the elderly or disabled, mor high seated armchairs are needed.
