I was admitted to A&E as an emergency aftercollapsing due complications with a previous surgery... )at a different hospital). I was taken to a cubicle immediately. The doctor was there within minutes to examine me and before long the pain was controlled. I was treated with care and dignity throughout and can not fault all concerned from the ambulance crew that took me there, the nurses, doctors and the 2nd ambulance crew that transferred me to a specialist hospital. Whilst in A&E two drunken men came started fighting. Security was called and were on the scene quickly. The fighting was stopped and security stayed in the area should it start again. The nurses and doctor cared for these two men, even though they continued being verbally abusive to each other and one was verbally abusive to the nurse as he thought he had been waiting too long. them. They had no thought for other patients with their shouting and behaviour. Personally, I would have turfed them both out, but of course, that isn't what nursing is about. Excellent service and a big thank you to you all.
