What I liked

I liked the fact that on Ward 8, the ward was constantly being cleaned. The majority of the staff were lovely.

PALS was very good and always willing to help as well as some of the secretaries even though i wasnt one of the consultants patients.

The shops are very good and varied products available. Some of the hospitals i have been too, dont even have a shop.

Some of the registrars are really good and are very helpful

What could be improved

Communication between staff as i have been left waiting for a discharge letter for a couple of hours or so even though it was behind the desk. Staff dont seem to talk to each other and especially between staff and consultants.

I find some of the secretaries really rude but you do get an angel amongst them!

I feel that making a complaint is very risky and feedback not as easy as it should be as time limits arent adhered to.

The cleanliness of A and E side ward in use whilst A and E is being modernised really needs a good clean as it was filthy when we had to visit it.

The Eurodynamics nurses are marvellous

Meals are terrible if you havent booked the day before (if you are admitted unexpectadly).

Occasionally you get a registrar who seems to me totally incapable of talking to a patient with courtesy
