I have recently had an operation in ward D47 and have nothing but praise for the hospital and all the staff on the ward at every level and would like this to be passed on. I found the nursing staff extremely patient and caring - going above and beyond to help patients and nothing was too much trouble. They were very busy and there were undoubtedly pressures (especially for beds that night as I think there were unexpected emergency admissions) but everything was done with kindness, compassion and professionalism - sincere thanks to everyone there.
