I was sent to A&E because I suddenly developed a numb bit at the back of my neck down into the top of my back and my neck hurt bad. I got seen quite quick by a young male nurse (or healthcare assistant, not a doctor I think? ), don't know which. He didn't examine me properly, wasn't interested in past relevant history (related) and dismissed my worries about how numb I was there as unimportant. He just told me to go back to my GPs who hadn't examined it properly either.
I'm a disabled person and had struggled to get (taxi there and back, on benefits so had to go without food, can't afford that) up to the hospital. Felt so bad to be dumped and sent back to GPs. So now I'm just having to put up with it, using PC hurts so bad and gets more numb each time, so worried because now one eye twitching for over a month and worse each time I yawn or sneeze.
There's a lump on that side of my neck too but the doctors say they can't feel it, weird because its easy to feel and friends can. sometimes the back of my head goes numb if the pillow pushes on my neck. Why don't the doctors take this and me seriously? I need to know what it is. What do you do if doctors don't do anything? Am I right to be worried or doesn't increasing numbness\matter? I felt ignored and dumped when sent away.
