"Giving birth in Homerton-horrible experience ;(("

About: Homerton University Hospital

Anything else?

i gave birth in Homerton hospital 6 months ago and only now can write about it, the experience was horrible and left me traumatize for any further pregnancies The stuff had made all possible mistakes ..possibly coz it's midwifery school.. ' low risk birth' turned to ' high risk' labor in a meter of hours and ended up in emergency c-section after 56 hours labor..! in short notes the medical errors were: -I got sent home after my water break for 48 hours before induction(it should have been done strait away) - i've been offered pills for induction that hasn't passed uk legislation -I've been left for hours when labor started - I had to wait for epidural for 7 hours and then it wasn't applied in the right place..so i ended up going through the same procedure all over again.. - one of the midwifes that 'looked after' me was very rude and unpleasant, prodding me to 'take a walk' or'' take a shower' when i couldn't move -very prolonged labor..when i finally reached 10cm ..they have realized that the baby was posterior and therefore couldn't come out in a normal delivery simple scan could have saved me all that my baby heart dropped and so as mine.. we've been rashd in to theatre.. for emergency c-section i can' hardly remember the moments when my baby was born.. it still upsets me thank God we survived that.. ! I'd recommend finding other places to give birth
