Anything else?
I've been a patient at Worthing Hospital since August 2012, when I had a second missed miscarriage. At the time, I had to have a confirmation scan in the antenatal Scan area, which was extremely upsetting and unpleasant, but I raised this with the head d ultrasound, and literally a few weeks later, an ultrasound machine was moved to the GDU so that women in this situation don't have to be upset by seeing heavily pregnant women waiting for scans. I was referred to a consultant within a few weeks for investigations due to my age and the cause was discovered! Sadly I had a third miscarriage in November, and once again was treated with extreme dignity by most of the staff in GDU (sadly a couple of people have rather an unfortunate telephone manner!). I am now 34 wks pregnant and have received fantastic early pregnancy care from the same consultant, as well as excellent antenatal care by everyone I have encountered at Worthing. Amazingly, when I've had concerns and had to go in for monitoring, midwives have apologised to me for having to wait for 15 minutes. My husband and I are amazed at the wonderful care we have received, having been at the hospital from hell for my last birth. I am now looking forward to my delivery at Worthing and very much hope that the care on Delivery Suite and postnatally will be as excellent.
