"Ward 11"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

Given 07:30am admission time both in written form and verbal when I attended my assessment prior to my surgery. How then is it that when I turn up as directed I'm suddenly told I'm actually on the afternoon list! I've had to travel 26 miles to get to the hospital, another 26 miles to come home while I wait for the afternoon admission time. Then I will have to repeat the journey again, and my husband will do in once more for good measure to collect me in the evening. 152 miles because the General Hospital appear to be challenged over a simple thing like timing. Utterly ridiculous, no wonder the NHS is in dire straights..

Hi Patricia, We're sorry to read about this mix up with your admission time. We have however since read your subsequent reveiw and are delighted to hear that you were delivered an excellent service and level of care. We have passed both of your comments on to the Women's division, in particular Gynaecology and Ward 11. It is important staff see positive feedback, but also read about the issues you faced so we can learn from these points you have raised with regards to the administration error. Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
