What could be improved

My mum is currently a patient at the hospital and has undergone three operations in 2 weeks and we have also been given devastating news on her health.Whilst I realise that rules are in place to protect the patients we have had numerous run-ins with staff as to why we are visiting outside hospital times, although the doctor has said this was ok due to her circumstances.My overall impression of the staff, although I realise this is not the same for all of them, has been one of disappointment.I am sure that they do have some compassion, but we have not been shown any since my mums admittance.

We are trying to come to terms with my mums situation and this is not helping us any.I am sure that if it was their parent they would want to spend as much time as possible with them.

I hope that there are still some caring hospital staff out there to make a difficult time bearable for other visitors.
