I cannot thank the consultant, his team, nursing staff and all the staff of Trinity Ward Mount Vernon hospital enough for my recent stay following Hip Replacement surgery. From the moment I received my consultant assessment to my leaving the hospital following my surgery, I was treated with first class service. The care and dedication I received was that of a private hospital, I can make this comparison as I have had two operations under private health care. The staff of Trinity Ward are dedicated, helpful and caring. My operation was done under a spinal anaesthetic, which I would fully recommend. I was extremely nervous of having this type of anaesthetic, however I had all my concerns discussed thoroughly with me, allowing me to make the decisions to go with the spinal anaesthetic, which is a quicker recovery time. Whilst my disharge was delayed due to my wound weeping, this did not bother me as it was no chore being in Trinity Ward. Other NHS hospitals could benefit from the efficiently, dedication of the hospital teams of Mount Vernon, especially Hillingdon Hospital. Congratulations in a well managed and efficient run hospital & ward. My only bad experience received, was my pre assessment at Hillingdon hospital where I found the nurse doing the prevoperatio assessment to be rude and arrogant, every time I asked a question I was given abrupt answers!
