"It has become most difficult to get an appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I have been a patient of the artificial eye clinic for a number of years. As I had childhood glaucoma at the age of 11 years old.

At first the service was very good but now Mr Hyde Jones, my consultant, has left the service and for the last couple of years nobody has replaced him.

It has become most difficult to get an appointment in the Telford area. In fact non existent.

Thank you for writing to TRAQS to describe your difficulty in obtaining an appointment at an appropriate eye clinic. Unfortunately TRAQS involvement in such cases is limited to arranging an initial appointment. However, I am aware that there very real difficulties in securing appointments in cases such as your own. That said, we endeavour to ensure that referrals such as yours are forwarded to the correct central administration point and hope that they are able to secure an appointment without any undue delay - hopefully in an area convenient to your home.

Nevertheless your feedback is greatly appreciated.
