Found most of the staff to be very professional and did their job well. Was disconcerted to be presented with a discharge form that had some potentially very serious health implications, without any warning and no one to discuss it with. I did not feel that the staff in the discharge lounge were very sympathetic and patient with an elderly patient who seemed distressed about her discharge.

It's great that you found the staff to be professional and so thank you for your positive comment. We have passed on your comments about the discharge lounge to the staff responsible for that area and they are now very aware of your concern. We will be reviewing practice to ensure we learn from your comment.
