Anything else?
I went into North Manchester General Hospital on 18th July 2013 to have my prostate removed. Typically I had to wait 7 hours to have my operation that nearly got cancelled (no beds) I have expressed my concerns before regarding the waiting procedure and obviously no one listened this practice is "totally unacceptable" but they point blankly refuse to do anything about it at the day service unit. The administration at this hospital need to listen to there patients and stop pandering to government targets it is quality that counts not quantity, do they realise how stressful it is to patients having to wait for long hours with nothing to eat or drink for 12 hours or even longer well if they do they obviously don't care and probably go private themselves when they need surgery. I knew what to expect but thought by some miracle that someone would have taken notice of my previous experiences but no I may as well as just banged my head against a stone wall. The nursing staff could not be better professional in every way and there attitude to patient care is second to none, my deep thanks to all the staff on ward C6 day and night you are simply the best (pity your managers could not be as efficient) they let the rest of you down badly and someone must go or not only listen but change the system.
