"Cancer surgery"

About: University Hospital Aintree

Anything else?

I underwent surgery for oesophageal cancer after having two cycles of Chemo. The care and attention from first diagnosis to post op recovery was excellent not only for myself but also for my wife and family. The consultant and his team kept me/us informed of all my options together with the risks involved. The nursing staff were absolutely brilliant, so much so that I was a bit sorry to be leaving them after my nine day stay. It is a very worrying time when you or a member of your family are in hospital especially for something so serious as cancer but this hospital and it's staff were just the ticket for me.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send these kinds words to the team who looked after you. We're particularly pleased that you found the care good not just for yourself, but for your wife and family. We'll pass on your thanks to the team.
