My family thank the doctor and his team for taking decisive action removing infected replacement parts in a high risk operation on a frail old lady. One hears so often how the elderley are overlooked. The previous Health Authority, who operated leaving her with this infection had distanced themselves leaving mum in constant pain. The determination of the medical staff at the PRU and the cooperation of all departments working together in getting mum back with a life without constant pain and mentally her improvement is remarkable so far and the whole family are so grateful for her care throughout which has also been extended to assessing her home and ensuring that she is able to be safe and cared for in her home
