"The spires level 7 "

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

(as the patient),

I had my son in the spires in 2010. I am 33 weeks now with my 4th child and would definitely use the spires again. Very very calm atmosphere, lovely midwives. Really nice room. Very well looked after. The spires is for people who are likely to have a straight forward birth, with minimal pain relief, the midwife will keep coming in from time to time to see how you are progressing.

I went in at 8 in had my baby 12 and was home around 5 and would of been home earlier even, just had to wait for paperwork to be finished. With my first 2 I had them in the usual delivery suite, also very good, but maybe not so relaxing as level 7 you are left in peace as your labour progresses, the midwife is never very far away so never did I feel worried at all. The room was also en suite so could shower and freshen up straight after: -)
